COVID-19 as a blessing in disguise for Indian healthcare

The Coronavirus crisis has clearly highlighted how poor Indian healthcare infrastructure is. Government healthcare facilities are under-funded , poorly staffed, under-equipped and in poor shape.

This epidemic has made all of us aware how vulnerable we all are to diseases, and hopefully will spur the Government into action. Healthcare has been grossly neglected, and all the Government has done has paid lip service to the importance of improving it so far.

It will treat healthcare as a priority area, and will fund it adequately, so that we can be proud of our public clinics and hospitals.

If we are lucky, COVID can be a catalyst to heal a sick healthcare system !
